Bodies, Series 1 & 2

Bodies explores the intersection of matrescence (the physical, emotional, hormonal and social transition to becoming a mother), embodiment, and sacred mystery. The pregnancies and births of my three children simultaneously served as thresholds of a birth of my personal renaissance, inviting me to commune with the sacred in my body. Since these experiences, I am continually confronted with the primal power of the female body; realizing her strength, trusting her intuition, and reveling in the comfort of her fleshy softness as she participates in creation. Featuring a limited series of two ceramic sculpture collections, Bodies reflects the reclamation of the sacred feminine.
